As far as blenders go, this is one of the best in the business. I was originally considering a Vita-Mix (I know, just like everyone else), but upon further research I decided that this was the best bang for the buck. You can take a full carafe of ice and turn it into fine powder with this machine and never have to worry about it breaking. They are just built so well that it’s hard to break one of these.

Frozen fruit, same difference. It will make a smoothie that you can actually be proud to drink. One complaint though, the blades are so incredibly sharp that you don’t want to touch them even. Other than that, this thing is a champion. The engine is strong. Someone should really put a warning on the package about the blades though. I usually load mine into the dishwasher or rinse them clean.

I’ve owned my Ninja for over a year now and it’s still going strong. So much ice I’ve thrown at this thing and it just hammers right through it. I make a lot of low sugar, healthy treats and it’s been well worth the $159.99 I paid for it. Think Vita-Mix minus the incredibly high cost. One thing to be careful with this machine is the blades. They are so sharp and they will cut you if you’re not careful.

This is by far the best blender I’ve ever had for pureeing stuff. People that need a blender to chop things and not powder them should look to other machines, but if you’re a smoothie person, you can’t go wrong with this. This is one of the As Seen On TV products that I just had to have. It really does turn ice into powder and makes perfectly cold drinks.
