Final Analysis
The Cuisinart PowerBlend Blender and Food Processor is perfect for families who have simple needs; basic blending and processing on a low budget. The blender will make smoothies and other frozen drinks but is quite noisy.
All in all this is not ideal if you plan to use it daily and especially if you plan to make a lot of thick smoothies. There have been multiple reports of the motor burning out so take this into consideration.

I make tons of soups, so I needed a blender that was going to handle all the vegetables I could throw at it. About chopping hard things like nuts, I don’t know, but as far as chopping vegetables go, this thing has been a dream. It saves a lot of money over the cost of buying both the food processor and the blender together. It saves a lot of space in the kitchen and that’s important because I’m dealing with a limited space for appliances.
Living in a efficiency apartment is difficult, but not impossible to find room for a few small appliances. I’ve only owned this item for a few months now, but so far so good. A lot of people are complaining about problems with this particular blender and food processor model so be careful! I like mine and for me it works wonderful for my soups.

If you need a really good appliance for breaking up ice, then this is a solid buy. We make cold smoothies all the time and this has been great for that. It’s a bit noisy but for the price I can’t complain. Some people have had problems with this unit, so be aware of that before you buy it. Personally, my experience with it has been great and I don’t see what all the fuss is about. But as with everything else, you have to air on the side of caution so you don’t get stuck with a “lemon”.
This blender is capable of grating things to a very fine consistency, which is great for making coffee powder from whole beans. I use it for that a lot. It’s built pretty sturdy and doesn’t jump all over the counter when you’re using it. Best idea here is to read the Amazon reviews for yourself. I like it, but that’s just me.
